These are some of the Healing Modalities I apply.
Smudging
Using a smudging tool is part of many Native American traditions. The burning of herbs for emotional, psychic, and spiritual purification is also common practice among many religious, healing, and spiritual groups. The ritual of smudging can be defined as "spiritual house cleaning." In theory, the smoke attaches itself to negative energy and as the smoke clears it takes the negative energy with it, releasing it into another space where it will be regenerated into positive energy.
Common Herbs Used in Smudge Sticks
- Sage / White Sage
- Cedar / Pine
- Lavender
- Sweet Grass
- Mugwort
- Copal

Sound Healing
Sound has long been known to have healing properties. Music soothes the savage beast is a notion that goes back ages. For thousands of years indigenous peoples all over the world have used drums, flutes, didgeridoos, chimes and gongs in spiritual rituals and healing practices. Scientific studies have shown the link between sound and brainwave activity (see below). Even the music I use during healing sessions has been designed specifically to calm and heal. The music has also been transposed from a A440Hz frequency into the natural frequency of 528Hz, the frequency of nature and love.

Didgeridoo Therapy - Information courtesy of Joseph Carringer, didgeridootherapy.com
Didgeridoo Therapy is a powerful tool to help people through a variety of
personal health and growth issues. The harmonic tones of
the didgeridoo help people to release deep energetic and
emotional stagnation that has collected throughout a person's
meridian system and energetic field. This stagnation can
lead to both psychological and physical disease.
The broad range of harmonics produced by the didgeridoo
(0-1000 Hertz) is done so in a similar waveform shape to
that of an Om. Quantum Physicists are now theorizing that
the smallest particle at the heart of each atom is not actually
a particle but a waveform shape that resonates in a similar
frequency to that of an Om. Through the simple principles
of *entrainment the didgeridoo acts as a tuning fork for
a person removing energetic blockages and restoring their
energetic field on a cellular level.
The didgeridoo also produces a deep and effective source
of natural ultra-sound. This ultra sound penetrates deep
into a persons muscular and skeletal system producing similar
physiological effect as medical ultra sound therapy. Some
of the reported effects of didgeridoo ultra sound have been
relief of muscular pain, arthritis, osteo-arthritis, headache,
migraine, accelerated bone growth along breaks and fractures.
*Entrainment --The process
by which the powerful rhythmic vibrations of one object
are projected upon a second object with a similar frequency,
thereby causing that object to vibrate in resonance with
the first. - "The
Healing Power of Sound",

Body Work
At post mortem, muscle dehydration is found at every area
of disease. This would lead one to believe that good circulation
could possibly keep one healthy. Degenerative diseases like
cancer and muscular sclerosis are anaerobic and can not live
in an oxygenated environment. Because blood carries oxygen
to the cells, circulation is necessary for optimal health.
The Bible teaches that life is in the blood. If this is true,
we need the best circulation we can get. Massage increases
circulation, hence, increases oxygen to the cells. It's time
to get a massage.
From
a psychological point of view, massage creates a sense of
being cared for, of being nurtured. Massage helps us become
more aware of our bodies and the feelings we value. Human
touch connects one person to another and the feelings shared
are healing and energizing emotionally. Safe touch is an important
part of life. Massage by a responsible professional is a relaxing
way to enjoy safe touch.
Looking at massage from a physics point of view, we see that
electromagnetic energy is transferred from the giver to the
receiver and back. This energy transfer can not be duplicated
by gadgets or machines. The oriental cultures call this energy
Chi (Ki) or life energy. The world renowned nuclear physicist,
Professor Serge Sitko, of Vidguk in the Ukraine, has developed
equipment that is able to record this energy in the millimeter
range of radio waves. This human energy transfer is an important
part of the healing process. Many believe that this is simply
love being transferred from one person to another.
Massage
gives one a feeling of comfort and relaxation like a mini
vacation from the pressures of life. A clinical study at the
University of Miami School of Medicine, touchresearch.com,
shows that massage increases mental alertness and accuracy
in mathematical calculations. A group was given mathematical
problems both before and after a series of massages and accuracy
increased some 20%. Massage also increases beta waves in this
study which shows that one is more relaxed after a series
of massages. This relaxed state lasts longer as the cumulative
benefits of more massage at regular intervals are experienced.
Weekly
massage will make you look and feel years younger. You owe
it to yourself to give massage a try. Go to the Payment Page and sign up for 5 weekly massages. You will
be so very glad you did.
Today,
many royal families have massage professionals on their family
staff. Bob Hope and George Burns have been regular recipients
of massage for over 50 years. Treat yourself like royalty,
take a mini massage vacation for an hour or two this week.
You are worth it!

Energy Work
ENERGY WORK is that of which the words imply: a therapy through energy work that initiates healing and well-being. Suited well for persons who are depressed, fatigued, anxious or simply unhappy with life, energy work is also a method of personal growth and spiritual enlightenment. Energy work, (similar to Reiki in nature) consists of balancing the chakras within the body. By clearing and/or opening the chakras within the human anatomy, individuals are empowered with vibrational balance and harmony; thus, encouraging overall well-being -- mind, body and soul.
The principle behind energy work is that universal energies surround us and are available to us for alteration purposes. Energy work is a therpeutic method of deep purification that releases old traumas and fears that limit our natural healing capabilities. Through the process of energy work, our chakras open and relinquish heavy energy blockages. By means of energy work, an individual gains mind clarity, understanding, and hightened awareness.
In an energy work session, a practitioner channels the energy through the client to aid the individual in flow balance. Using one or more techniques, the energy work practitioner will sometimes sound or pray silently during the session. Usually lasting less than an hour, the energy work session utilizes methods such as meditation, reiki, and other chakra balancing therapies to help the client in the healing process. If you are interested in alternative therapies such as energy work, feel free to ask for an "energy only" session. This can be done directly on the body, through the sheet, or through light clothing (tight or restrictive clothing is not recommended) and can include light to moderate touch, or no touch at all. Either way, energy work blended with body work can be an amazing experience!
